Congresswoman Miller Announces $1.1 Million in COVID-19 Relief for Small Businesses
WASHINGTON D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today two grants, worth $550,000 each, from the Economic Development Association for the COVID-19 Recovery and Resiliency Project. This funding is going towards the Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) which provides funding for small businesses and entrepreneurs who are negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first grant is going to the Region 1 Planning & Development Council to be used in McDowell, Wyoming, Mercer, Raleigh, Monroe, and Summers Counties. The second grant is going to the National Capital Investment Fund to be used across the entire state.
"As we rebuild our economy it is crucial that we are supporting our small businesses and entrepreneurs during this public health emergency," said Congresswoman Miller. "These job creators play an essential role in strengthening communities across our state. I am thankful for these investments from the EDA, and I am committed to finding all possible ways to help revitalize our state."
