Congresswoman Miller Announces $1.5 Million for Small Business COVID-19 Relief
WASHINGTON D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today a grant of $1,500,000 from the Appalachian Regional Commission to the Natural Capital Investment Fund Inc. for the NCIFund: West Virginia COVID-19 Emergency Response Small Business Loan Program. The funds are to be used to support its COVID-19 Emergency Response Loan Fund (ERLF). The loans will help small businesses who have been impacted by COVID-19 and are unable to receive sufficient funds from other disaster-relief programs.

"Together we are ensuring small businesses have the resources they need to keep their doors open and serve their communities. Our economy's comeback is well underway, and I am committed to reinvesting in our state to help us recover, rebuild, and create new opportunities for success."
To be eligible an applicant must:
- be a current West Virginia business
- have been a business for at least one year prior to February 15, 2020
- employ 100 or less
- be current on West Virginia state taxes
- verify lost income due to COVID-19
- provide tax returns for up to 3-years
This not a grant and repayments must come from proceeds of future assistance programs, including Small Business Administration loans or future proceeds.
