September 24, 2019

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Miller (WV-3) announced today a $2,000,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to LifeHouse, Inc. for the Realizing Recovery and Reentry Program.

Congresswoman Miller said, "Addiction affects us all in heartbreaking ways – either through a family member, friend, or neighbor, we have all been touched by this tragic epidemic. LifeHouse plays a crucial role in helping those affected recover and build happy and healthy lives. I am pleased that LifeHouse received this funding to continue their service to our community."

LifeHouse provides reentry services and helps to reduce recidivism to those in Huntington, West Virginia. Through assessments, treatment plans, and additional services to offenders, the program hopes to accomplish its goal of serving at least 300 adult offenders during the grant period. The grant funds will be administered over a four-year period, at a rate of $500,000 per year.
