Congresswoman Miller Announces $2 million for Huntington Youth Programs

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Miller (WV-3) announced today two grants from the Department of Health and Human Services totaling $2,799,018 to the Prestera Center for Mental Health Services and the Cabell-Huntington Coalition for the Homeless. The full break down of funds is below.

"I am focused on making our communities safer and healthier," Congresswoman Miller said. "Every child should be protected from the evils of our world, and I am happy to see federal funding go towards helping families affected by substance abuse, and children at risk of human trafficking and homelessness. Together we can continue to make our state a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family."

  1. The Prestera Center for Mental Health Services in Huntington, WV has received $2,650,000 for the West Virginia Regional Partnership-2 for Children and Families Impacted by Substance Abuse in Boone, Kanawha, Raleigh, and Wyoming Counties.
  2. The Cabell-Huntington Coalition for the Homeless has received $149,018 for The Center – Street Outreach Project that engages, connects and serves youth ages 21 and under experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness and human trafficking.
