November 20, 2019

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (WV-3) announced today an Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant of $2,300,000 from the Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration to the Greenbrier Valley Airport. The funds will be used to reconstruct taxiway lighting.

"Innovating our infrastructure is crucial to ensuring our airports are safe and running efficiently," Congresswoman Miller said. "This grant will keep our travelers safe and increase the airport's capacity to transport visitors and goods coming in and out of West Virginia. I am excited to see the Greenbrier region's tourism increase and economy strengthen as a result of this."

"The robust economy is enabling more passengers to travel by air so this Administration is investing billions of dollars in America's airports which will address safer operations, fewer airport delays, and greater ease of travel for air travelers," said U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine L. Chao.
