Congresswoman Miller Announces $250,000 to Strengthen Economic Development
WASHINGTON D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today a grant worth $250,000 from the Appalachian Regional Commission to the West Virginia Development Office for the West Virginia Consolidated Technical Assistance Program. The grant will be used to aid in technical assistance and help communities with economic development initiatives.
"It is critical that we reinvest in West Virginia to rebuild our economy as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Supporting economic development initiatives in our local communities will help create jobs, attract new growth, and provide opportunities for success for all," said Congresswoman Miller. "I am pleased this funding will be used to help us revitalize our state and ensure it remains an incredible place to live, work, and raise a family."
State resources will be providing an additional $250,000 bringing the project total to $500,000. 65 communities across West Virginia are projected to participate in Technical Assistance grant supported activities.
