Congresswoman Miller Announces Grant for Statewide Environmental Programs

Washington D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today a grant of $169,882 from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources to continue their environmental programs.
Congresswoman Miller said, "This grant continues the funding for important programs that protect the health and safety of our state. We must ensure that our community, especially our children, are safe from environmental hazards and are able to live prosperous lives."
This grant will fund statewide programs that protect and maintain the administration and enforcement of lead-based paint accreditation program, train individuals, and establish workplace standards in residential housing built before 1978.
