Congresswoman Miller Announces School Safety Grant for Pocahontas County

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) today announced a grant worth $167,915 from the Department of Justice's Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) to the Pocahontas County Board of Education. The funds will be used to improve school safety through the COPS office School Violence Prevention Program (SVPP).
"Our children deserve a high-quality, safe learning environment during this public health crisis and after," said Congresswoman Miller. "West Virginia's students are future workers and leaders of our state. We must provide them with a world-class education and the tools they need to propel us further into the 21st century economy."
