WASHINGTON D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today two Drug-Free Community Support Program grants each worth $125,000 from the Department of Health and Human Services to United Way of the River Cities in Huntington and Community Connections in Princeton. The grants will be used to fight youth substance abuse.
"West Virginia has been plagued by the opioid crisis and COVID-19 has only brought more hurt along with it," said Congresswoman Miller. "Addiction has touched us all in some way. We must educate our children against the dangers of addiction and provide them with all the tools they need to live a successful life."
