ICYMI: Congresswoman Miller Visits LeSage Natural Water and the Robert C. Byrd Locks and Dam

WASHINGTON D.C. – Today Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) visited LeSage Natural Water and toured the Robert C. Byrd Locks and Dam in southern West Virginia.

LeSage Natural Water is a division of the Green Acres Regional Center, Inc. and was founded over 50 years ago to employ, train, and provide programs to those with special needs. Congresswoman Miller discussed with officials how they can work together to create more jobs for people with disabilities and then toured the facility.

Congresswoman Miller also joined Colonel Jason A. Evers, Commander of United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Huntington Division, Lisa Morgan, Project Manager of USACE Huntington Division, and multiple other USACE Huntington Division team members to tour the Robert C. Byrd Locks and Dam. On the tour, they discussed how the locks and dam plays a crucial role operating the Ohio River, which is vital to West Virginia's economy, security, and commerce.

Byrd Locks and Dam are testaments to the great things that can happen when we harness West Virginia's pro-business environment to employ West Virginians, improve our communities, and bolster our state's economy," said Congresswoman Miller.
