ICYMI: Congresswoman Miller Visits White Sulphur Springs, Tours The Schoolhouse Hotel and Mountain Steer Meat Company
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) visited White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia to meet with small business owners and visit the Dry Creek Festival. Additionally, Congresswoman Miller joined The Disability Opportunity Fund (DOF) President and CEO Charlie Hammerman for a walk-through of The Schoolhouse Hotel. Formerly White Sulphur Springs High School, The Schoolhouse Hotel is White Sulphur Springs’ first full-service boutique hotel. Developed by DOF, it is the first fully accessible hotel in the United States. Congresswoman Miller also toured Mountain Steer Meat Company, a family-owned business that supplies fresh, local, premium quality meat in the community.
“From locally owned businesses to the new, fully accessible Schoolhouse Hotel, White Sulphur Springs is ready and willing to welcome people to town and share their West Virginia hospitality," said Congresswoman Miller. "As job creators, every business owner I met with serves a vital role in expanding our tourism industry and revitalizing southern West Virginia.
