Miller Holds Roundtable with Raleigh County Officials
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) held a roundtable with the Raleigh County Sheriff's office and other local officials. During the meeting, Congresswoman Miller heard from the community on different issues Raleigh County is experiencing, including flooding, limited access to clean water, and the drug crisis.
“I had a productive discussion today with Raleigh County officials about some issues and problems the community is experiencing and how Congress can best assist and work alongside local government to solve them,” said Congresswoman Miller. “Hearing about the damage caused by recent floodings, the limited access to clean water for households, and the drastic impact of the drug crisis in Raleigh County highlighted how crucial it is to provide necessary resources to our communities. The drug epidemic has recently caused an extreme spike in crime and has taken too many lives, which is why I will continue fighting for policies that will secure our border and help West Virginians that have been affected by the ongoing drug crisis. My top priority in Congress continues to be making West Virginia the best place to live, work, and raise a family."
