Rep. Miller Hosts Energy Focused Roundtable with CNX CEO Nick DeIuliis

September 19, 2023

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Yesterday, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) hosted a Member roundtable with the CEO of CNX Resources, Nick DeIuliis on energy in the Appalachia and her recently introduced bill, the Methane Reduction and Economic Growth Act of 2023.

The Methane Reduction and Economic Growth Act of 2023 will encourage the capture of mine methane to be used as energy, create and support American jobs, and enhance energy security.

“Since my first term in Washington, I have been a strong advocate for increasing U.S. energy independence and unleashing domestic energy production,” said Congresswoman Miller. “I am grateful to CEO of CNX Resources, Nick DeIuliis, for joining our roundtable as we discussed ways we can further prioritize the development of local energy, like we have in Appalachia, rather than relying on foreign adversaries. The Methane Reduction and Economic Growth Act will repurpose U.S. energy, which strengthens our national security and creates more American jobs.”

Joining Congresswoman Miller at the roundtable were Representatives Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA), Lloyd Smucker (R-PA), Bill Johnson (R-OH), and Chuck Edwards (R-NC) along with staff from numerous Congressional offices and key industry stakeholders.
