Congresswoman Carol Miller Named to House Republican Whip Team
Washington D.C. - Congresswoman Carol Miller has accepted Republican Whip Steve Scalise’s invitation to join the House Republican Whip Team, where she will serve as an Assistant Whip during the 116h Congress. Miller brings her years of state legislative leadership experience to the Whip Team, previously serving as the first female Majority Whip in the West Virginia House of Delegates, where she worked to pass conservative legislation that created jobs, grew the economy, and strengthened the energy industry.
“Thank you Republican Whip Scalise for entrusting me to help pass common-sense conservative legislation that will improve our country,” said Miller. “It is vital that we unify behind Republican leadership in the House to work together with President Trump, oppose the liberal agenda that will weaken our country, and win back the majority in 2020.”
House Republican Whip Steve Scalise added “I’m excited that Carol Miller has accepted my invitation to join the House Republican Whip Team. Carol brings valuable experience to the Whip Team from her days fighting to advance conservative causes at the state level, and her leadership will be helpful as we work with President Trump and stand up to the radical leftist agenda of Speaker Pelosi.”
