Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) spoke on the floor of the United States House of Representatives to honor the late Justice Tim Armstead. Armstead, who passed away on August 26, 2025, previously served in the West Virginia Legislature as the Speaker of the House of Delegates before being appointed and later elected to the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia. Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) released the following statement on the U.S. Army's reversal of their previous decision to inactivate the Reserve Officer's Training Corps (ROTC) program at West Virginia State University (WVSU). On June 27, 2025, the U.S. Army Cadet Command announced a nation-wide strategic rebalancing and optimization of the Senior ROTC program that would inactivate the Army ROTC host unit at West Virginia State University.

The Congresswoman focused her comments on the success of the One, Big, Beautiful Bill in fixing the Democrat-imposed 1099-K $600 reporting threshold and Section 232 steel and aluminum tariffs.

“Thank you for yielding. I rise today in strong support of the One, Big, Beautiful Bill.
Washington, D.C. – Yesterday, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) and Congressman Danny K. Davis (D-IL) introduced legislation to reauthorize critical reentry grant programs from the Second Chance Act of 2008 to support reentry efforts including housing, career training and job placement, and substance use disorder and mental health treatment. The Second Chance Reauthorization Act of 2025 would reauthorize critical programs to reduce recidivism, invest in communities, and promote public safety.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Carol Miller’s (R-WV) bill End Chinese Dominance of Electric Vehicles in America Act of 2024 passed the House of Representatives. Congresswoman Miller introduced this bill to tighten the Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) definition for the 30D electric vehicle (EV) tax credit and prohibit Chinese companies from accessing U.S. tax dollars.
