Congresswoman Miller Announces $220,000 Economic Development Grant

Washington D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today a grant of $220,000 from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to the West Virginia Development Office to support ARC programs state-wide. The funds will be used to help communities with economic development initiatives.

Congresswoman Miller said, "I am thrilled to see more investment in the economic development of Southern West Virginia communities. Working together, we can diversify our economy, create new jobs, and increase small business growth in our state."

The ARC grant will support the West Virginia Consolidates Technical Assistance program by providing resources for project development, project administration, monitoring, planning and regional coordination, and enhanced technical assistance to distressed counties. In addition to the ARC funds, the state will contribute $220,000, bringing the project total to $440,000.
