Congresswoman Miller Announces Service Academy Nominees

January 31, 2019

Washington D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today that she has nominated 12 West Virginia high school students to four U.S. military service academies.

The service academies are: the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and the U.S. Naval Academy.

"I am honored to nominate these West Virginia students to our nation's service academies, and I know each and every one of these students will serve our country nobly. West Virginians have always answered the call to defend our nation, and I am proud to nominate these accomplished young men and women. I thank them for answering the call to serve." Rep. Miller said.

While a congressional nomination is required to apply, it does not guarantee admission. Students will be notified individually if they are granted admission to one of the service academies.
