Congresswoman Miller Asks for Unanimous Consent on Born Alive Bill

March 8, 2019

WASHINGTON D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) today asked for unanimous consent motion to bring the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act to a vote. House Democrats refused to consider the request.

Following the motion, Congresswoman Miller issued the following statement:

"I'm a wife, a mother, and a grandmother, I've experienced the miracle of life and know that children are our most precious gift. We must ensure protection for the youngest and most innocent of our citizens, and it saddens me that my colleagues across the aisle are willing to play political games on a topic this important."
