WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) today visited Marshall Health's multidisciplinary location in Teays Valley. Her visit included a tour of the facility followed by a luncheon with local leaders from Putnam County, including representatives from Marshall Health, Marshall University, Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, Putnam County Commission and the Toyota Motor Manufacturing West Virginia, Inc., where they discussed strategic health care priorities and economic development opportunities for the region.

Montgomery Mayor Greg Ingram, Smithers Mayor Anne Cavalier, Fayette County Commissioner John Breneman, Kanawha County Commissioner Lance Wheeler, and other local leaders were also in attendance.

WASHINGTON D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) today announced her co-sponsorship of the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. This legislation makes sure women and girls are allowed a fair playing field in competitive sports by ensuring that school athletics comply with the Title IX recognition of a person's reproductive biology and genetics at birth.
