WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today two grants from the Department of Health and Human Services for the Head Start Program in Southern West Virginia. The first, worth $1,352,396, is going to the Raleigh County Community Action Association, Inc. and the second, worth $1,879,793, is going to the MountainHeart Community Services, Inc.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Injury Prevention & Control (NCIPC) worth $125,000 to the Fayette County Family Resource Network, Inc. in Fayetteville, West Virginia. The funds will be used for the Fayette Drug-Free Communities Program seeking to reduce youth substance use by using the strategic prevention framework, environmental strategies, ongoing evaluation and collaboration.
