May 20, 2024

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) released the following statement on United States Postmaster General Louis DeJoy’s decision to pause changes to all USPS facilities, including changes to the Charleston Processing and Distribution Center, until January 1, 2025.

“I am pleased that Postmaster General DeJoy has decided to halt any changes to be made to USPS facilities, including the Charleston Processing and Distribution Center, until 2025I know this decision will temporarily ease any stress that postal employees, West Virginians, and other Americans have regarding postal jobs or delays in receiving mail. During this time, I urge Postmaster General DeJoy and USPS to continue to think about how these changes would affect postal workers and the timeframe of mail delivery," said Congresswoman Miller.
