WASHINGTON D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) today announced a $1,095,000 investment from the Economic Development Administration (EDA) to the Center for Applied Research and Technology in Bluefield, West Virginia.

This investment will provide high-tech industrial supportive services to Bluefield-area businesses and entrepreneurs recovering from COVID-19. The funds will also create 48 new jobs, save 48 jobs, and bring an estimated $2.2 million in private investment to the region.

At the mobile office locations, members of Congresswoman Miller's staff will be available to help Third District residents who are having problems with federal agencies and programs. WASHINGTON D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) today announced two grants from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) totaling more than $12.5 million for the Head Start Programs in southern West Virginia. The first grant, worth $7,507,708, will go to the Southwestern Community Action Council, Inc. in Huntington, West Virginia. The second grant, worth $5,033,350, will go to the Coalfield Community Action Partnership, Inc. in Williamson, West Virginia.
