WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) spoke at a Ways and Means Committee markup of the Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act. This bill provides maternal services critical to the health of the mother and unborn child. It will also stop the Department of Health and Human Services from placing restrictions on states to use Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds on Pregnancy Resource Centers.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) led a letter to President Joe Biden urging him to neutralize recent threats and attacks from an Iranian-backed militia, known as the Houthis, on trade cargo ships in the Red Sea near Yemen. The letter also urges the Biden Administration to work with our international partners to secure our trade lanes. These attacks have caused many major trade companies to redirect their cargo shipments which delays arrivals and increases costs for consumers.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV), Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO), and all Ways and Means Republicans sent a letter to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Commissioner Daniel Werfel calling on him to testify before the Ways and Means Committee on the Biden Administration’s failure to follow a law passed by Congress and signed by President Biden. In November, the IRS announced its decision to delay implementation of the Democrat-mandated lower 1099-K reporting threshold that was included in the American Rescue Plan Act.
