Congresswoman Miller highlighted the passage of the Secure the Border Act - H.R. 2, the Republican-led House of Representatives debt limit plan and shared her dismay with the new proposed plan by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to regulate gas fired power plants.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) joined Congresswoman Michelle Steel (R-CA) in introducing the Permanent Tax Cuts for American Families Act with seven of their colleagues to make permanent the enhanced standard deduction established by the Tax Cuts and Job Act of 2017 (TCJA), which is set to expire in 2025.

This bipartisan legislation will aid veteran small business owners to manage financially the upfront cost of starting a franchise by creating a tax credit of up to 25% of initial franchise fees for veteran owned small businesses.

The groundbreaking ceremony celebrated the $190,000 secured by Congresswoman Miller for sidewalk repair and other projects in Hinton, West Virginia.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) questioned the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Commissioner Daniel L. Werfel at a Ways and Means Committee hearing on her 1099-K bill, Saving Gig Economy Taxpayers Act. During the hearing, Commissioner Werfel admitted that Congress should raise the 1099-K threshold to its original standard of $20,000 and 200 separate transactions instead of the Biden Administration’s policy of just $600.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) reintroduced the Manufacturing API, Drugs, and Excipients (MADE) in America Act to prevent U.S. pharmaceutical supply chain dependence on China and other foreign adversaries. The MADE in America Act will stimulate domestic manufacturing of drugs and pharmaceutical supplies such as active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and personal protective equipment (PPE) while reducing drug shortages.
