Washington D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today an investment by the Economic Development Administration (EDA) of $70,000 for Fayette, Nicholas, Greenbrier, Pocahontas, and Webster Counties to develop and implement a comprehensive economic development strategy (CEDS).

Congresswoman Miller said, "Thank you to the EDA for this investment in Southern West Virginia, I am excited to see the outcome of this project. Together we can work to diversify our economy, strengthen small businesses, and create new jobs."

Washington D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) along with the Rural Community Assistance Partnership, will be giving technical assistance to rural communities in Southern West Virginia to help create and implement long-term economic plans over two years.

Washington D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced a grant of $225,667 from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection to help enhance monitoring to improve the assessment of sediment and nutrient load reductions support for the Chesapeake Bay Program. Additionally, it will provide bay wide and basin wide water quality and living resource monitoring data analysis and interpretation.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Miller (WV-3) announced today three Brownfield Multipurpose, Assessment, and Cleanup Grants from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to assess, clean up, and redevelop underutilized properties while protecting public health and the environment. A brownfield site is a property which may contain a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant.
