WASHINGTON D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) today announced her mobile office hours for October.


At the mobile office locations, members of Congresswoman Millers' staff will be available to help Third District residents who are having problems with federal agencies and programs. Constituents are encouraged to bring along documents they have received from federal agencies related to their issues.

Washington D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today a grant of $157,673 from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services.

This funding will be used to help support the Exchange Network (EN), which is an internet information network that facilitates the electronic collection and exchange of data. The goal of the EN is to efficiently exchange environmental information within organizations.

Washington D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV), Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (R-IN), and Congressman Ron Estes (R-KS) joined to introduce the Accelerating Individuals into the Workforce Act. This legislation encourages employer-led partnerships with state and local agencies to hire recipients from the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program to provide job skills training to strengthen America's workforce.

Washington D.C. – Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) announced today that Hollywood Elementary School in Beckley, West Virginia has been named a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education.

"Our children are our future, and our educators play a crucial role in preparing them to enter the world. Congratulations to Hollywood Elementary School for being named a Blue Ribbon School. This achievement could not have been made without the hard work of every teacher, student, administrator, and family member," said Congresswoman Miller.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Miller (WV-3) announced today a grant from the Department of Health and Human Services to the Coalfield Development Corporation totaling $800,000 for the expansion of SustainU clothing company.

Congresswoman Miller said, "Creating new jobs, diversifying our economy, and growing small businesses is why you sent me to Washington. I am happy to secure this funding that will benefit Southern West Virginia."

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Miller (WV-3) announced five Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grants (JAG) today from the U.S. Department of Justice, totaling $264,571, to the Third District of West Virginia. Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Miller (WV-3) announced today a $2,000,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to LifeHouse, Inc. for the Realizing Recovery and Reentry Program.

Congresswoman Miller said, "Addiction affects us all in heartbreaking ways – either through a family member, friend, or neighbor, we have all been touched by this tragic epidemic. LifeHouse plays a crucial role in helping those affected recover and build happy and healthy lives. I am pleased that LifeHouse received this funding to continue their service to our community."
